It was a lovely morning of 26th January - republic day of my country. as i was scrolling through bluesky i found post of patak

patak requoting post of 'daniel(@danielroe.dev)' - Uh, this is way more interesting than I expected. If you'd like to get involved and help us build a better browser for npm packages, raise your hand. It should be quite a enjoyable project to participate in. — patak enticing us like a penguine

I found the idea interesting and talked with him. soon I landed in discord with what is now my favourite open source community. At the moment, site was all black and light theme was in github issues. I took it up and pushed a PR which i’m pretty proud of.

Factory must grow

It just took few hours and it was merged. It’s crazy to think how quickly everyone was collaborating with each other, without knowing much about each other. I didn’t know much about vue coming from svelte & react world. quickly channels were created, links were shared for folks to quickly grasp the basics of vue.

This was genuinely one of the nicest communities i have the chance to work with, where everyone is given opportunity and help to support and push each other. whenever you share something your message is reacted with ❤️ it’s so positively infectious. don’t take my word for it, come and experience it yourself.

We were moving so fast, we needed to pull from main every few minutes. In around a week we reached 1000 pr and issues and hearing back now it sounds crazy to me.

Looking ahead

I enjoy designing and caring about things people use. I absolutely love and adore each one of the friends I’ve met from this community, and would love to work with them. Count me in for any dishes you have on the menu.
